WildCATs - Grifter

Another week's dawning and after a pretty rough one, I look forward to things improving a bit. Hence, why I'm starting it with a bang. Quite literally

Following up on my latest 90s nostalgia post featuring Jim Lee's WildCATs, here's yet another character from the famous team to add onto another of my long overdue commissions. This time around, all the chips fell onto Zealot's eternal partner in crime and master of weapons, Grifter.

Granted, a lot of these characters had a flavor about them that reminded us of other famous characters we grew up with. That said, they all had a certain charm of their own and when handled well, they could become really awesome channels to tell various interesting stories. Such as when the WildCATs were rebooted by Scott Lobdell and Travis Charest. For a lot of reasons, the artwork being the most obvious one, that era of the team was one of my favorites and Cole Cash definitely shone on it as its 90s longcoat and ridiculous energy weapons got traded for some contemporary black ops. suits and armament. 
Charest in particular has always been a great inspiration for me and I loved all the little details he added to the characters, especially when it came to Grifter and his gadgets. Thus, when picking a design to depict I instinctively went for the one I loved most.
