TRED - Commanders Concepts

My fellow watchers and watcherettes,

I didn't want to spend the whole week with just one update, so I asked around and I was given permission from a client to post these concepts up for you to see. I thought it was a very cool opportunity to show some of what goes 'behind the scenes' when I'm working on concepts and designing before actually jumping onto more complex and heavily rendered illustrations.

These characters are (as the title describes) the Commanders in a game I'm lucky to be conceptualising and helping to shape up. You'll hopefully hear more about it as the whole comes together. But, from what I've been able to work on so far, it looks exciting as hell.
You'll notice I've sort of returned to my limited palette with these, mostly because the setting lends itself to subtle hues, instead of bold colors. I also tried to stay away from my usual trend when I design and went for a more 'gaming industry' vibe for these two, which I think I've accomplished, without losing my own style.

So, something different from me in many aspects, which I hope you enjoy! Your commets and thoughts are very welcome and appreciated, so let's hear 'em.
