Suspended in Dusk

Hello there watchers and watcherettes...!
It's been another busy week with almost no fun and work, work, work... though I must admit I took some time off to finish this one and post it up so as not to neglect my Gallery here too much.
As you can see, the trend of B&W here is keeping strong and I'm taking deep breaths of air with these pieces in-between my commisions (most of them involving dazzling colours!). I have absolutely no explanation whatsoever as to what the theme or the character are... I just start pencilling and things pop-up.

This creaure, I presume, is very lonely. A monster, created by science and defying nature to its very core. And yet, he is perhaps more gentle and understanding of what it is to be human than its creator. Perhaps it is lonely abandoned creations of Man's despair in front of death that truly understand there's no cheating Death in the end; only the joy of life while time lasts.

If this one's succesful enough I may tackle the classic monsters of literature. This one is certainly a humble homage to that wonderful lady Mary Shelley.
