Description

Happy Tuesday, folks!

Tuesday's a day late for the update-a-day schedule, but not so bad as the previous weeks. Hopefully I'll be able to keep it up the coming days; I certainly have a lot of material I'm working on so whatever I can show you, i will.

One of the many projects I'm involved with and which I recently publicised over here is Surreality, the webcomic whose tagline says it all: 'Real life is for suckers.' :D
Illustrating this story has been an absolute pleasure for me, not only because it provides me with plnety of subjects and themes that I usually wouldn't dabble on but also because it allows me to challenge my comfort zones at the same time. Case in point, this image here with a bit of a boudoir flair is for a set of prints that the writer/creator will be putting together for his shows. Thus, it needed to be something eye-catching and I mean that beyond the obvious buoyancy of Syd's back :P So I decided to play with colors as I always do when it comes to this tale and I couldn't be more happy with the results.
The framing with all of its caleidoscopic mixes still manages to be subtle and elegant and there's traces here and there of swirls and shapes that I think contribute to give the whole an otherworldly feel. Which brings us to the landscape to which the window overlooks: a nightly sky at first glance, hiding some other dark horros pertaining the protagonist's own fears and anxieties as explored in the story.

So, a very satifying piece which I'm very proud of and I hope you also enjoy. Let me know what you think as usual, of course!

I'll see you tomorrow with another update and hope you all have an amazing week :)

Nic.-

PS.. Also, Pixel Panties for the win! :strip: :D
