Happy Tuesday, folks!

I hope you all had a great Christmas, however you spent it! I had a big family gathering in which no access to work was allowed, hence my slight dissapearance for the past few days

One of the things we can say for sure about this holiday season is that it was marked by the latest Star Wars standalone film, Rogue One. And whilst we were all secretly waiting for it to be as amazing as it was in the trailers, I think the fans' expectations were not only met, but exceeded. I had done a piece featuring the titular character of Jyn Erso, hyped-up on the trailers. But I had to go back into this universe after watching the whole thing to put down some other great things that caught my eye.
While darker than the rest of the franchise's, this film explores a very interesting side of the proverbial Wars, in that it shows us the struggles of the soldiers that do not have special powers or a light saber and years of training (well, there is someone using The Force, but definitely not in a traditional way). The grittyness and lived-in aspect of the movie is what caught my attention the most and that side of it can be easily projected onto the character of Cassian Andor, here depicted with his "loyal" repurposed Imperial Droid K-2SO.

So, I hope that I've done justice to one of this year's most anticipated films and let me know if you'd like to see more.
