Happy Wednesday, folks!
As you know, one of the things I like to do with my morning warm-ups is think a bit outside the box and maybe tackle subject matter I wouldn't otherwise get to draw. That means going after characters that I might not find completely ethralling and seeing how I could give them my own twist. Such is the case today.
Lady Death always felt a little like overkill to me: she was the 90s all wrapped up in a bikini outfit and BDSM undertones. So naturally I just shrugged her off as another one of those creations made with the male fan in mind. And yet, I kept seeing great art of the character done by some really amazing artists and later got into a bit of the background regarding Brian Pulido's struggle to get back the rights to his creation, as well as some of the stories written about her and thought 'Huh, I may be underestimating this woman after all'. Hence, I gave her a spin in my style, trying to do a sexy interpretation while at the same time imbuing Lady Death of a certain deadly (pun intended) flair so as not to be gratuitous... I don't know if I managed all of that, but the end result I'm posting today I think is pretty awesome by my standards
And speaking of puns, once I finished this small piece of Lady Death, that title immediately came to mind as a perfect way to round this all up neatly
