Happy Monday, folks!
It's more like Tuesday when you'll likely get to see these updates, but they were done to kickstart the week, so...
I always love illustrating D&D characters for players and this is no exception. My friend and partner-in-crime on the webcomic FREE MARS, Dave Pauwels, has started playing a new campaign and wanted me to take a stab at his half-orc character, Kestra. I'd never drawn a half-orc before, so that was certainly challenging and I jumped at the opportunity. The result was very pleasing at least in my eyes and he was positively ecstatic, so I could call it a success.
I tried, most of all, not to go the "sexy" route and instead focused on the strength a warrioress like this would have. So I made her anatomy decidedly muscular and broad while at the same time putting in a more restrained human quality to her features to balance the whole out. The outfit and sword are all full of details I loved drawing, especially that horned hilt And to top it all off, the request was made for this one to be pen and ink, so I couldn't be more satisfied.
As usual, I hope you like and enjoy this one and be on the lookout for one more update coming up.
Thanks and see you tomorrow!

Nic! I must say as long time player of D&D you made Kestra, definitively awesome character! Fully fleshed out, savage, highly detailed warrioress. A perfect touch of human and orc mix, armor details and her equipment are simply beyond reality. Awesome artwork! Awesome performance once again my friend!!!
