Salutations, dear watchers and watcherettes!
I can't believe I forgot to upload this in my dA Gallery, nor that I completely and utterly failed to announce what lies ahead for FREE MARS, the weekly webcomic that I illustrate alongside Dave Pauwels at the scripting. You can check it out here: [link]
This illustration is the cover of the second volume in the saga of FM; and it is very special for a number of reasons. First and foremost, because we hardly thought we'd be here that long doing what we love when we started the webcomic almost three years ago now. We didn't know we'd be partnering with a great publisher like APE Entertainment to print a fabulous 112-page graphic novel collecting the girls' adventures and a never-before-seen Prologue (with a foreword by Dan Abnett!). And, in case all of that wasn't astounding enough, now we're going to be joining the latest trend of crowdfunding to not only keep doing the webcomic a lot of you follow every Friday, but also offer you a lot (and I do mean a LOT) of new stuff that'll show you just how much we apprecite your support, past, present and future.
So, why use crowd funding for Free Mars? The more we looked at this option, the easier the decision became. Frankly, we want to give you, the readers, as much as we possibly can. We could keep going as we have, which is great, but we now have a very real opportunity to do so much more.
Not only can we keep the weekly webcomic updating, but we can print a second book. Maybe even a third. But we can also do Sisters Grimm concert t-shirts (which look amazing). We can get our friend and multi-Slayer sword winner of Games-Workshop's tournaments Chris Borer sculpting 28mm miniatures. We can do high quality art prints. In the end,
we can do everything we’ve wanted to do to support Free Mars and expand the universe.
So, be on the lookout for a big Friday announcement that'll steer you in the way of a campaign that'll offer you all of these items and much, much more.
