All the Lost Souls

I know many of you will be taken aback by this one...

Ever since I was asked by ~Ravenkeeper to illustrate the (in)famous Inquisitor Eisenhorn looking back upon his lost retinue and accompanied by that incarnation of pure evil named Cherubael, many wondered if Ii'd ever return to the most famous of Abnett's creations by giving life to Eisenhorn's protegé Gideon Ravenor. This is my response to that.

Again, ~Ravenkeeper and I worked closely together to bring these characters to life and I hope I've done them justice as I did before with Ravenor's fallen tutor.
In contrast with the Eisenhorn picture, this one has a lot more colour to it, though Ravenor clearly stands out as the center of the piece, much like his master in the other did. His retinue is also a reflection of him, but since Ravenor is such a powerful psyker, I wanted to sort of tell in the picture that he'd be able to conjure up a better reflection of all his associates. Much sharper, defined and 'alive' so to speak.
Of course, this sharpness is also present in Slyte, the looming figure of evil above the main cast. I had a hard time delivering that glowing skull effect and still keeping features somewhat together, but I think I managed it pretty well.
There's lots of details I like: the skin tones, the Chair, the psychic power emanating from Ravenor and his visage of both stern young determination and scarred aftermath of the Thracian atrocity. But, as usual, you'll be the final judges of this image. All I can add is that I fel I've improved a lot in my colouring, being able to incorporate a lot of different elements and using a very wide palette without making things confusing or cluttered.
