Happy Thor's Day, folks!
I had to skip yesterday on the daily warm-ups because this week has proven to be yet another nightmare in the long series of those that freelancing is all about
That said, my spirits are still intact and these help me a lot in getting the best out of my lines on the actual projects and client-work that I have to get to everyday, so I eagerly jumped back into it this morning. As I've been doing this week, the warm-ups are dedicated to Blade Runner and particularly this Thursdays to Rachael, Eldon Tyrell's "daughter".
I was quite surprised to learn that Sean Young, the actress that played the part, was nervous at landing the role since it was one of her first. She certainly doesn't come accross as inexperienced in teh film! Or does she? There's a complexity behind her beauty that's very subtle and maybe only comes accross in her eyes, which I tried to capture here, with that lighting trick that Ridely Scott used so well to emphasise the artificial nature of the Nexus-6 replicants. Whatever the case may be, her performance is yet another testament to how well this film was weaved and planned.
I hope you enjoy this one as much as the previous ones! The reception for these has been amazing and I'm seriously planning to explore more on thiis vein. Thank you!
