Requiem for a Ravager

Happy Monday, folks!

As usual, I hope you all had an amazing weekend. For my part and despite my busy schedule, I managed to steal some time away from the drawing board to go watch Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" with the family, which in turn inspired today's warm-up/excersise.

In continuing my polishing of likenesses, when trying to distill the awesomeness of the movie, I immediately turned to Yondu, which <i<Michael Rooker</i> plays to perfection. Here's a C-lister from Marvel's back of the shelf which ended up benefiting hugely from his film adaptation (to me at least!). 
One of teh things I noticed in this iteration of our favorite Galaxy-savin' team is that James Gunn went for some throrugh character development. While the action through space and all the colorful themes are still there, this film certainly feels much quieter than the first. More mature; and Rooker's performance lends a credibility to an otherwise pretty wild character that is just beautiful to see develop on the screen. From the soundtrack to its different emotional moments, this movie works better than many other sequels in the MCU, akin to what happened with "Captain America: Winter Soldier".

I can't wait to see what's in store for Vol. 3 and let me know what you think of my take on the infamous Ravager!
