Happy Moon Day, fellow watchers and watcherettes!
As you know, I've always loved the future and what with my profuse portfolio of Warhammer 40,000 Dark Millenium pieces, one might think that post-apocalyptic or dystopian was my thing. However (and that being somewhat the case) I did enjoy for a long while, a better perspective. I was a fan of Star Trek, way back in the day.
I won't go into why I finally got bored of the series and whatnot; but let's say that this piece reminded me of the many days I spent loyally watching the Federation's quest for Galactic Union.
I think the best thing about this illustration is the fact that I managed to capture the intimidating and raw strength present in all the Klingon folk, whilst adding a bit of the sexyness that characterises my women.
Another cool bit about this image is that I couldn't decide what palette to use: I thought of going full red on it; then I thought colour would be best. However, after finishing the greyscale volumes, I thought a monochrome would be the coolest. And I believe I was right.
