Happy Monday, fellow watchers and watcherettes!
I've been a bit on a roll as far as updates are concerned here on dA, which I hope I can keep up. I certainly have enough material lately I can show you guys to do so. And here's the first bit.
This is the opening illustration for the latest chapter of the ongoing Fantasy webcomic Divinity
Divinity is something I'm very proud of, because it's helped me step out of my comfort zones, especially when it comes to researching and drawing from references of actual places. Usually I work in sci-fi environments which are completely made up, so that is easier; but having to draw such as is the case here, a café in the 1920s, including the characters' period clothing is a welcome challenge. I also have been working a lot of symbolism and design on these illustrations to reflect my own passion for Art Noveau and the atmosphere of the whole story.
More specifically speaking about the story, this chapter of Divinity will consist of a very interesting conversation between two of the tale's villains. Again, a very challenging premise for me as an artist and hopefully for you as well. You can check the webcomic here (which updates every Monday
Thanks again for coming by and let me know what you think if you have a moment!
