An End in Shadows...

So...

2009 is almost at an end and I thought it fitting that I should honour this ocassion with a last upload for this week.
Much has happened this year and most of it, for me, has been exciting, challenging and overall intense: I met the love of my life, completed many projects and evolved into a new step regarding my artwork. I reconsidered many of my strengths, solved some flaws and hope to keep doing it in the year(s) to come.
And, on top of it all, I got the best news a man can get in his life: I'm going to be a father.

So, 2009 I will remember as a very positive year both in my career as well as personally. And I want to thank YOU all out there for making my dreams come true each time you click on that button, leave a comment or vote in my polls. t is thanks to your efforts and time and kindness towards my artwork that keeps it truly alive.

Finally, addressing this particular image, I think my redescovering B&W has served me to put all of my work into perspective. Thus, it's appropriate that my last upload of 2009 be one such work. And what better character to render in fine black and white than The Shadow himself? Many of you have been waiting for my return to this character and here it finally is. Nothing complex or terribly innovative, but a fine piece of pulp nonetheless, which I dedicate to you.
